Dynamic IP Address I have a dynamic IP address. Is there any way to keep only one address

There is a free redirect service: http://www.dyndns.org/

After you register, it will provide you a dynamic address, such as http://yourname.dyndns.org/
You can type in this address instead of your IP address.

There are several ways to update the address:

1. By a program.

2. By your router (must have the updated firmware):

D-Link
Linksys

3. By your camera:

Go to the DDns section ("Configuration > DDns").

Press the "Submit" button to update.

Open Port How can I check that I have correctly opened my Port?
Power up problems
Resolution: Disconnect the power supply from the camera, and from the mains supply.
Let the PSU settle for a minute, then reconnect the mains supply.
After 30 seconds or so, reconnect the PSU to the camera.
The camera LEDs should now illuminate brightly.
In some cases it is necessary to disconnect the power directly from the back of the camera momentarily to achieve this power cycle.

Wireless LAN I am having problems connecting my wireless camera.
Configuration of your NC1000-W10 camera requires your setting in your Wireless access point o match your IP camera settings.

The following example is that of a D Link Wireless access point.

If you are having trouble connecting your NC1000-W10 with your wireless access point, then please follow these steps before contacting our tech support:

1: Using the Pinhole in the front of the camera, (While powered) hold a pin in the hole for between 5 and ten seconds. This will reset the camera to default settings.

2: Connect the camera to your access point using a standard ethernet CAT5 cable (The blue one that was supplied with the camera)

3: Power up the camera (Or remove power and then reinstate if the camera was already powered)

4: Open IPedit.exe

5: The camera should now be visible in the left of the IPedit window

6: Click on the camera in the list, and the details should appear in the right fields. (These details will be default and are not likely to match your network).

7: Change the IP, Netmask, and Gateway to match your network and click SUBMIT.

8: Click the Update button after 30 seconds or so, and the new details should appear in the camera list.

9: Open an Internet Explorer browser, and type the address of the camera http://192.168.xxx.xxx

10: At this point you should be connected to the camera, and the image should be from your camera.

11: If at this point you do not get a reply from the camera, and IPedit still shows the new address details, then raise a support query on our database.

12: If you now have the camera displaying correctly, the following steps should help get the WLAN operating correctly.

13: Disable security on your access point (Access control - if you use it, and WEP)

14: On the Camera configuration menu, select Network, and complete the WLAN IP details as below (Using IP numbers that match your network:

15: Remembering to click SAVE before the next step, select Wireless from the side menu, and complete the SSID field (Ensuring that you match the SSID that is in your router - Case sensitive) - Do NOT enter a WEP key at this time.

16: Again, ensure that you click SET before leaving this screen.

17: Now reboot the camera.

18: After a short while 30 seconds or so, the WLAN light should begin to flash, and you should be able to connect on the WLAN IP address without the cable installed.

19: Now we need to set up WEP.

Ensuring that your WEP key matches that of your Router, you need to set up the WEP key in the camera, and then the router. For this example we will use a 64bit WEP key in HEX - 12 34 55 43 21

20: Log on to the camera from the browser again, and select the Wireless menu, this time entering the WEP key and ensuring the radio button is pointing to the correct key:

21: Again, ensure that you click SET before leaving this screen.

22: Now on your router/access point, enter the WEP key, and ensure that the 'Shared key' option is selected if appropriate to your router:

23: Now reboot both the camera and the router (Router first and wait until it is back on line before rebooting the camera).

24: The camera should now connect to the router on WLAN.
